🚐🔒 Police Advice – Theft From Motor Vehicles 🔒🚐
We’re reminding owners of cars, vans, motorhomes and campervans to take extra precautions to prevent thefts, especially as lighter evenings and travel increase.
✅ Remove valuables whenever possible – cash, wallets, phones, laptops, handbags and sat navs should not be left inside
✅ Don’t leave items on show – even an empty bag can attract attention
✅ Lock doors and windows, even if you’re only leaving the vehicle for a short time
✅ Close blinds or curtains to prevent criminals seeing inside
✅ Park smart – choose well-lit, busy areas or secure sites.
✅ Consider additional security, such as alarms, steering wheel locks or tracking devices.
